ever after clothing

Some of Rewrite Beautiful's dearest friend's are ever/after, a premium lifestyle clothing brand that donates 25% of the cost of your item to the cause of your choice. Choose a cause. Change the Story. Currently ever/after is devoted to using 25% of their profits to changing children's lives through three charities and their kindness has paid off because they are now being carried by Barneys New York ! Such a milestone for both companies! We love how ever/after uses Creativity, Kindness and Strength in all aspects of their business and we love that Barney's New York recognizes what a outstanding brand ever/after is and will be sharing them with all of their patrons!

Check out www.everafterclothing.com for their Fall styles! We already picked up some sweatshirts for ourselves and some baby clothes for our expecting friends from Sleepy Dreamer!

Lot’s of girls love fashion and Christy is one of them. But, does loving fashion mean you have to compromise your family and your values? According to Christy you don’t, which is why this brave girl is Beautiful Girl of the Week!

Christy has worked in the corporate world of some high flyin’ fashion dynasty’s like Abercrombie & Fitch and James Perse. However prestige and a fat bank account doesn’t compete with the love that she has for her faith and her family. Being the smart chick that she is, Christy and her husband Gary dreamed up a way to combine all of their passions into one exciting creative vision. That vision turned out to be the beachy-hipster-esque-family clothing line named, ever/after (after their daughter Ever. Who actually also inspired the Rewrite Beautiful vision! Check out that story here)

The cool thing about creativity is it has no limits! Christy and Gary decided to invite others into ever/after by CHANGING THE STORY. With each garment sold there is a “Change the Story Card”. You get to choose a cause in either Africa, Mexico or Santa Ana and change the story of a childs life! For more info visit this link at ever/after.  If only EVERY clothing line got on the kindness bandwagon ever/after is leading!

I see so much strength in Christy. She humbly tells people that Gary is the risk taker of the two and from time to time she says she gets scared of all the ups and downs that go into starting your own business. In my friendship with her I have seen her walk through fears, pick up all of her courage to pursue her dreams and not back down from talking about the faith that is taking ever/after to 40 stores come April! I am so privileged to know this beautiful girl, I hope ya’ll are as inspired by her as I have been.

Keepin’ it Beautiful,

Irvina

Happy Tuesday Beautiful People!

I gotta tell you about another Beautiful cause out there that is about Changing the Story....For those of you who are still buying you're V-necks at American Apparel...you need to stop ;) Cause theres a new kid in town with a cause!!! ever/after is a beautiful, California casual clothing brand right here in Newport Beach, CA. Besides having simply awesome baby v-necks for the kiddo's and 'rents the foundation of ever/after is "Change The Story". They donate 25% of every item you purchase to the cause of your choice. With the purchase of some basic kids clothes you can "Change the Story" in a childs life in Santa Ana, Africa or Mexico. Cool deal eh? They have kicked off a campaign asking "How do YOU change the story" and they featured REWRITE BEAUTIFUL! It's so rad that so many people are stepping up to redefine "Beautiful" and what "ever/after" looks like... Check out our story on their blog here (and send in your own BEAUTIFUL story!)

Hey ya'll! I've been spending alot of time networking with people and trying to get the word out there about REWRITE BEAUTIFUL. I have found that when I explain that REWRITE BEAUTIFUL is changing how women see beauty in themselves using Street Art I hear an overwhelming amount of men say, "I wish you did this for boys too. We really need it. You would be surprised how many men struggle with body image issues."

Believe me, I know the stats state that there is 8 million people in the United States suffering from an Eating Disorder, and of that number 10% are men. (It's estimated that the percentage suffering that are men is far higher, but because of the old fashioned idea that this disease strikes only women, few men come forward to find the help they deserve.) Though at this time REWRITE BEAUTIFUL has our hands full just helping women change the way they see beauty in themselves we want to do something for the "Beautiful Boys" out there. We also hope to implement some programs for the lads once we get the programs rolling for all the ladies...as the old saying goes, "Ladies first." ;)

In the meantime I'd like to give some props to some very awesome and "Beautiful" men who have helped REWRITE BEAUTIFUL over the past couple months. Without their donation of time and talents we might still be sitting on the idea and not in action. Just like women, beauty in men doesn't have to do with their bulging biceps, rock hard abs or chiseled face, BEAUTIFUL is found in the way they give of their time to charity, speak respectfully to their wives, run their business with honesty and live out their faith with humility. Yes these guys are all hansom but it’s who they are that makes them Beautiful People that we are proud to work with.
